Dubai is shocking the World

Project for Building the Most Beautiful Hotel in the World at Dubai ..........

Konstantinovsky Congress Center, St. Petersburg, Russia

” Erick van Egeraat associated architects design of the Konstantinovsky Congress Center in Russia
The Konstantinovsky Congress Centre is a 21st century addition to Niccolo Michetti’s sophisticated 18th century scheme for the grand Konstantinovsky palace. Striving to enrich the scheme, Erick van Egeraat adopts Micheti’s principles and extends the famous landscape grid to the plot of the new Conference Centre.
Michetti’s scheme sets the framework for the design of the Congress Centre and its position in the landscape. Out of respect for the heritage of Konstantinovsky Palace, Erick van Egeraat conceals the scale of the building programme. Parts of the building, including spa, business club, conference area and press room are embedded into a hill. Daylight is ensured by glass-roofed patios.

The main functions tower above the hill and are covered by a tripartite, seashell-like, seemingly floating roof. Varying in size, each roof segment represents one main function - congress hall, chamber hall, enclosed by the multi-functional foyer. Elevated above the foyer is a separate VIP area, which can be reached via a dedicated car driveway on the roof. This preserves and, if possible, reinvigorates the splendour of Michetti’s design by minimising the visual impact of the building and extending the existing landscape. Like a hidden treasure, the building reveals itself only to those who enter.”

prefab: pinc house sport

“ The SPORT is the original model from the awesome Swedish prefab company Pinc House. Some call it a sports cabin, some call it a classic Swedish bungalow. I don’t care what they’re classified as, I think they’re terrific. Shown here are random images from several houses in different locations. The SPORT range features houses, in various configurations, in two categories: Leisure and Residence, in sizes ranging from 20 to 160 m2.

Project7ten, The Real Green Deal

” We’re no longer in rendering stage, this is the real deal. Project7ten is built and ready for viewing. Actually, it’s ready for sale if: (1) it hasn’t already been sold, and (2) you’re in the market for one of the greenest, most modern homes in California. Interestingly, this house is the first conventionally- constructed LEED Platinum home in the state.
Located at 710 E. Milwood Avenue in Venice, California, it probably doesn’t get much better than this. Check the images. I get this plush, radiant, rainforest vibe from the images. So colorful and clean. Anyone else agree? This is definitely more contemporary than minimal, or modern even, but I really like what they’ve done. If you watch the slide show, you’ll see a NASCAR-esque wall of sponsors. I bet your friends don’t have that!
